This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock  (***note this 'author' is semi-literate - probably the product of a government school***)
*** some mornings - sometimes I'm late because I have a Chinese piece of crap that seems to work 'when it feels like it'.  Have attempted several times to buy something better in my local stores, but as a result have several pieces of Chinese crap, some of which don't work at all.  It seems impossible to find any such objects in stores these days that did not come from the people's republic of china : (  ***

*** fondly (NOT) remembering times we actually had to take out a LOAN to pay a monthly light bill.  Not sure what the actual percentages are, but in any given day some people's electricity is shut off due to their inability to pay the required extortion.  Yup, monopolies are ALWAYS bad for consumers, and government monopolies are the WORST, as they are enforced by the government's police powers.  Remembering the three YEARS we lived in S. FL (where average temp is 95 degrees & average humidity is 90% for 9 months of the year) when we turned OFF our air conditioning, and LEFT it off, due to yet another 8.5% tax added by our county.  However, by doing that we were able to pay off all our mortgages, and retire early to Kentucky : )***

*** hmmm... took mine in our lovely SPRING water, produced by us on our own farm.  We have NO monthly water bill, also our water does NOT smell like swimming pool water, as we do not add carcinogenic chemicals to it such as chlorine, ammonia, and God knows what else.  Also, again I don't have percentages, but some number of people each day find their water shut off due to inability to pay the extortion demanded by governments. ***
 
After that, I turned on the TV

*** ditto actual purpose of FDA is same as USDA above.  They actually allow (overlook) the drug industry's studies, which use cherry picked data, fudged results, or even outright LIE about the actual results - when they actually don't show what the drug companies wanted them to show.  BY THE WAY, the PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY FIX IS ALREADY IN THE SOCIALIZED HEALTH CARE BILLS - NO CAPS ON PRICES OF big pHARMa's products!***

Yup, Federal Reserve Notes are not only simple IOUs, they are IOU NOTHINGS.  They are what is known as 'fiat money'.  They are NOT Constitutionally legal money.  The Federal Reserve's activities of contracting and expanding the supply of these at will is the CAUSE of our destructive business 'boom and bust' cycles. ***

*** Not us!  We figured out years ago that there was no way to get a real quality education for our kids in the public schools.  We have home schooled 5 of our 6 kids, and so far looks like at least 6 of our 8 grandkids will be home schooled.  The main purpose these days of 'public edukation' seems to be the dumbing down of the kids, and brainwashing them to become 'good socialist citizens'.  There are school 'programs' to promote every kind of social & sexual deviance, and psychological programs and 'counseling' to confuse or eliminate their moral values, yet the schools do an overall abysmal job of teaching them reading, writing, and math.  'Science' has become mere politically correct proselytizing of the new age & environmental gospels.  Fortunately, there is hope for our country because the government doesn't yet quite have a monopoly on schools.  There are at least two million kids being home schooled like ours (about double the number of 15 years ago), and many more millions in PRIVATE schools.  Public schools are a great example of what we can expect from socialized medicine, though.  We continue to pour about FIVE TIMES as much money into 'public edukation' as it would cost to SEND EVERY CHILD IN AMERICA TO PRIVATE SCHOOLS, and get FAR LESS quality of output.  I'm for privatizing all education. Get government OUT of our schools!

After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the department of labor and the occupational safety and health administration,
***You were lucky.  Like most of the government agencies of this type, a search of their history (and FOLLOWING THE MONEY) will show they were originally supported by BUSINESSES in order to help shield them from lawsuits by the injured, and also to help shield bigger businesses by eliminating competition from smaller businesses who could not afford to meet all the standards.  Consumers have 'benefited' by resulting HIGHER prices for the covered goods & services, and an ever increasing availability of goods from places like the people's republic of china, and an ever increasing dearth of goods produced in the USA.  Also, millions and millions of US JOBS have moved OVERSEAS, so companies could control their costs enough to continue to compete.  So, I guess you are lucky to HAVE a job at all.***

***Again, you were LUCKY.  And, meanwhile, in the people's republic of Lost Angeles, tens of thousands who have full time jobs live in their cars, due to the fact that government bureaucrats have completely regulated out of existence any such thing as 'affordable' housing there.  Between zoning requirements for everything from beautification to water, earth quake standards, and all the rest, the government required 'permits' ALONE to build ANYTHING at all cost $35,000 and UP.  And, people on a regular basis spend thousands more to remove and redo required items AFTER the inspections, which they were forced to do to 'pass inspection', that they REFUSE to live with!  Guess what all this does to the cost of housing???  YUP, you guessed it.  Debt is a form of slavery, and housing has insured again tying the peasants to a piece of land.***

*** If you were LUCKY.  This happens on a regular basis in cities and population centers, especially in those areas where only criminals have guns (gun ban areas), making it safer for them to operate.  Also, many areas now are cutting police and fire dept. budgets due to revenue shortfalls caused by smoking bans, and ridiculous animal radical pushed dog laws.  These places, such as Louisville, Kentucky, are making a higher priority of insuring every ferret in their county is spayed and neutered, and no one can sell a puppy or kitten without the government's permission, also all the smokers are standing outdoors in snow, rain, and 110 degrees - than to adequately fund the police and fire protection. Their priorities are BACK ASSWARD.  I've been praying no one DIES as a result!***

The problems I see in this country are all CAUSED by the fact that communism has been installed piece by piece in this country over nearly the last hundred years.  And, it doesn't work HERE EITHER - even if they don't call it communism.
No matter what name it's called - 'liberalism' , 'progressivism' , 'democracy', etc., if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... it's probably a duck!
