EMERGENCY in Louisville & Jefferson County Kentucky

On December 19, 2006, 96 pages of legislation was passed that looks like PETA and 'Animal Rights' extremists (PETA) Christmas WISH list.  Louisville has been the host for decades of the largest all breed dog show in the USA, and 2nd largest in the world.  There is a FIRESTORM of protest, and SEE DOG SHOW BOYCOTT HERE   Read more BELOW, and at www.louisvillepetlovers.com

SEE THE NEW LAW HERE THIS IS TYRANNY! See LAWSUIT HERE!

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. Property must be sacred or liberty cannot exist." John Adams

The 'animal rights' movement

is out to STOP ALL USE of animals.  They want NO one to have pets, & want NO ONE to breed pets.  Don't believe me?  Google PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), & READ.  They are EXTREMELY WELL FUNDED through HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) and other 'warm & fuzzy' organizations that many folks donate to because they want to HELP the animals.  They have been infiltrating governments & working to put in laws that make it ever more difficult and expensive to keep our pets.  Learn about them, their agenda, & tactics HERE

NEW 8.5"x11" POSTER (or flyer) UPDATED 2/5/07 for REPEAL of this awful legislation.
Mayor Abramson FAILED to VETO it, and it CAN NOT be fixed!
CLICK ON the poster & cartoon below to get the full sized ones for printing.
They are in GIF format, so will print just like a picture.

MORE INFORMATION BELOW - Scroll DOWN.

These are great for handing out as FLYERS, but may be EVEN MORE EFFECTIVE used as POSTERS.  The print is large enough for most folks to read from their vehicle while sitting at stop lights.  Computer ink (and of course paper) are not waterproof, so if using as posters outdoors, either laminate them (works best) or protect from water with those plastic sheet protectors (CHEAPER!).  Make sure opening is at BOTTOM of poster.  We have VERY LITTLE TIME!  If getting a VETO fails, check back here for further ACTION PLANS.

POSTERS are VERY EFFECTIVE & QUICK & RELATIVELY EASY for finding lost pets.  Since we are ALL in danger of losing our RIGHTS to OWN our pets, put these on light poles near busy intersections, and anywhere there is a lot of pedestrian traffic.  Near pet stores, groomers, and in vet's offices are great places, too.  IF many of those who OWN pets in a threatened area would put up a few of these, the area could be WELL covered in a short time, and for minimal work & expense per person.

www.aalf.ws/SAVEourPETS/ is a redirected link.  Originally, I had it sent to SAOVA - Sportsman's and Animal Owner's Voting Alliance's news page.  They are a non-profit anti animal rights group, and have a good write up on this horrible Louisville-Jefferson County KY situation at the moment.  I now have it linked to THIS page, and this page has links to Louisville-pets, SAOVA, and other useful sites. I may change the redirect link IF I find a page that has better or more current info on this subject.  If you know of a great site that isn't here, EMAIL Information YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CHANGE THE ADDRESS ON THE POSTERS.  If you don't like the website URL I have on these, you are welcome to cover/replace it with your own, or one you think will work where you are putting up the posters.

WE ONLY HAVE UNTIL JANUARY 4, 2007 TO GET THIS VETOED.  IT CANNOT BE AMENDED! ALMOST EVERYTHING IN THIS LAW ESSENTIALLY TAKES CONTROL(=OWNERSHIP!) OF ALL OUR PETS AWAY FROM US, AND GIVES IT TO JEFFERSON COUNTY! THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. IF THE MAYOR DOES NOT VETO THIS BY 1/4/07, IT WILL BECOME LAW ON 1/5/07, AND WE WILL HAVE TO GET IT REPEALED - EVEN IF THAT MEANS REPLACING POLITITIANS. IT'S JUST AS IMPORTANT TO ASK THAT THE ANIMAL CONTROL DIRECTOR, GILLES MELOCHE BE REPLACED - WITH SOMEONE WITH NO TIES TO ANIMAL RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS.  HE HAS CONTACTS WITH PETA, AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE 'DOG CATCHER'.  THIS IS THE SAME AS HAVING A FOX IN THE HEN HOUSE.

>It's not just Kentucky I think allot of places have gone crazy with pet laws.>### ###

Yes, that hits the nail RIGHT ON THE HEAD.

The more I think about it, the more certain I am that the BEST & MOST USEFUL THING TO DO is to MAKE LEMONADE out of this lemon.

We HAVE to draw a LINE IN THE SAND SOMEWHERE, and STAND AND FIGHT, or we will one day VERY soon be in no better position than the Chinese.

If we lose our right to control (control=OWN) our pets, a very sad day will come.  Look at China, where the government does in fact OWN all the animals (AND all the people too), and they are clubbing dogs to death in front of the eyes of the folks who loved and kept them : ( Only ONE dog allowed - no dogs over a certain size (gee, sound familiar??? www.louisville-pets.com/ ), just kill them off - not even 'wasting' bullets on them : (  Once we allow legal precedent to be set that the GOVERNMENT has CONTROL of (=owns) our dogs, it's only a matter of time......who KNOWS what will happen?  I KNOW it won't be pretty, and OUR most lovely breed www.hosanna1.com/Hounds/ will probably be one of the first to become extinct.  The breeds with the smallest gene pools will be the first to be lost forever.

We MUST CUT at LEAST ONE snake head off this AR gorgon, then we may be able to cut off the whole head. Look at the hours, energy, and MONEY it's costing folks ALL over this country to try to fight them one city, county, and state at a time. AND most of the time, we are NOT WINNING.

If there IS any 'best place' to make a stand, the LARGEST ANNUAL GATHERING OF DOG FANCIERS IN THE USA is probably IT.

We can REALLY MAKE A STATEMENT by getting AS BIG an entry at the Kentuckiana Cluster as possible, and ALL of them committed to NOT SPENDING A PENNY in Louisville or Jefferson County.

We should MAKE THIS YEAR's Kentuckiana a ANTI-animal rights CONVENTION.  CHOKE them on our dog show traffic, streaming every night past the 1/2 empty motels, gas stations, restaurants,  & stores of Jefferson County,  20  minsutes  away  to  Indiana and  surrounding  counties.  ROFLOL!!!

The ARs want to get rid of our dog shows??? HA. And, if we don't succeed in getting them to repeal it this year, we CAN move the shows out of Jefferson County the next year!  As a member of Mid Kentucky KC, I promise I will vote for that. THEY WILL NOT stop our dog shows.

At this year's cluster, IF THE MAYOR DOES NOT VETO this & FIRE Gilles Meloche, at the Kentuckiana Shows, let's organize ROUND THE CLOCK pickets of Metro Hall (and other strategic sites - the big malls, etc) by shifts of dog show folks.  Let's BURN Gilles Meloche in effigy - with appropriate ceremony and media coverage!  I think selling the black arm bands to raise attorney $ for LKC legal action are a GREAT IDEA.  Not allowing AR oriented vendors is a GREAT IDEA.  Having information booths with ANTI-AR info is a GREAT IDEA. How about inviting SAOVA, NAIA, the American Cat Fancier's Association (they are VERY experienced in this fight & and allies are NEEDED) etc to have booths, and MEMBERSHIP DRIVES?  There are LOTS of GREAT IDEAS to make this year's Kentuckiana Cluster an event that
NO one in Jefferson County will EVER forget.

As secretary of Mid Kentucky Kennel Club, I pledge to make a motion at our next meeting that if our entries are at least as big as last year, our club will commit at least 1/2 of any profits from our show to the fight against the AR menace. This will be for legal fees to fight the Louisville law all the way to the US Supreme Court, if necessary, and/or any other plan with the goal of overturning/preventing AR influenced legislation.  If we could win that, it would wipe out at one stroke ALL similar laws in the rest of the USA. Some might well be used contributing to some of the anti-AR organizations that are already in the fight & getting good results, or for printing literature.  I think it's high time we have nice glossy info pamphlets exposing the AR agenda and tactics, and probable results if they (ARs) are allowed to have their way (no more pets!).  We need to get J.Q. Public to understand the role of HSUS & ASPCA in all this, and CUT OFF THEIR funding from the public.  We need to get those into pet stores, groomers, and vet's offices nationwide plus have on the literature tables at shows.  Maybe some of that money can be used for anti-AR (or pro PET OWNERSHIP?) ads in newspapers, or billboards?

We need EVERYONE to do their little bit to WIN.  The ARs are INCREDIBLY well funded, and they have PROFESSIONAL people who are PAID just to work FULL TIME on taking away all our rights to control our animals.

Together we stand, divided we FALL.  In numbers there IS STRENGTH.  Kentuckiana Cluster has had the biggest numbers for decades.

Who else wants to make lemonade???

AALF - An American who Loves Freedom

www.aalf.ws/       My Resume

Just some brainstorming here.  I collected some of the MANY wonderful ideas that were on the lists, and added a few of my own.  You are welcome to cross post & share to interested groups EXCEPT the 'AR' oriented. Knowingly sharing with 'AR' folks is a COPYRIGHT VIOLATION which I will take seriously.

For those with the more adventuresome spirit, I've been having a LOT of FUN with our dog show van.  I figured, why waste 40,000 miles/year all over the USA?  Why not 'creatively express' my 1st amendment rights?  On 12/27, I parked this just a bit down the street from Louisville's Metro Hall when I went up to the Mayor's office.  I personally asked him to veto this law, and please find someone else to be AC Director - preferably someone with no ties to animal 'rights' groups.  the STOP ..ANTI-PET LAW sign is on both sides.  We (my oldest son was with me) cruised down town, and a couple of malls, putting up posters and handing out flyers.  I am hoping to cruise downtown during the mayor's New Year's Eve party as well.
