LOUISVILLE METRO 'MAYOR FOR LIFE'
(and maybe some COUNCIL
MEMBERS TOO!)

Here's a picture of Louisville, Kentucky's Perfect Storm

Let one mayor or a couple of leading council members associated with a
new bad pet animal law go down because of that law and things will get a
whole lot better. It will suddenly be understood that passing animal
laws is no more 'free votes' than passing a new tax law (a smoking
ban), or planing a
major redevelopment project. And when the word gets
around, city and
county officals will go back to looking at animal laws just
as they do
the rest: with great care.
I gotta tell you that Mayor
Abramson lost my sympathy instantly when he
described the ordinance he had
just signed into law as "a work in
progress." Sorry, Mr. Mayor, but you DO
NOT PASS a work in progress
that will force people to get rid of pets, move,
trash breeding
programs, and make children cry. Your line should have been
"This
ordinance appears to me to be a work in progress. I am vetoing it.
Please do your homework and return it to my desk when you're
finished."
That 'work in progress' comment has to be one of the stupidest
things
I've ever heard a public official say.

I hope
EVERYONE who is able will take advantage of this lemon, and COME to
the
Kentuckiana Cluster - and HELP to make this a RESOUNDING statement to
the
entire WORLD that we've HAD IT UP TO HERE with the AR whacko/PETA
agenda, and
WE WILL FIGHT BACK AND WIN. This IS the largest annual
gathering of dog
fanciers in the USA each year. It is an opportunity handed
to us on a
platter (albeit UNwanted) to be able to do something to STOP this
AR tide
once and for all.
DO NOT SPEND A PENNY IN JEFFERSON COUNTY. THAT is
the message we should
bring. But PLEASE COME, as the clubs NEED that $
AND we NEED PEOPLE TO HELP
DO something about this
We also have another unique opportunity
with this particular city, at THIS
PARTICULAR TIME. One of the MOST
EFFECTIVE messages we can send to this
WHOLE country and it's ELECTED public
SERVANTS is that it is DANGEROUS to
mess with us.
WE NEED TO VOTE THIS MAYOR and WHOEVER ON
the COUNCIL
voted for this OUT OF OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
Metro council have
STOOPIDLY kicked over THREE huge ant hills AT ALMOST THE
SAME
TIME. Louisville Kennel Club is NOT the ONLY group suing them,
pet
owners are NOT the only group boycotting them, and is not the ONLY group
who
wants their HEADS (or their buts OUT, that is).
In the past couple
of years, a HUGE eminent domain issue (home owner's
private property rights)
was settled by the courts (I think in home owner's
favor). Louisville
'Kelo-ed' hundreds of home owners to expand the
privately owned (for profit)
international airport, ripping out whole
neighborhoods. Lots of THOSE
folks (and other home owners who may be living
in fear that THEY might be
next) would probably VOTE THESE PEOPLE OUT,
to oust the 'quasi-nazi
government' of Louisville Metro as well.
I happen to know of another HUGE
constituency in Louisville Metro
(about 100,000) who will HAPPILY VOTE AGAINST
THEM IN ADDITION to pet lovers. It could be a
SLAM DUNK to have Mayor Abramson out on his rear end in RECORD TIME.
I can't think of ANYTHING that will send a more powerful message to
other
mayors in other towns who are tempted to listen to the animal radical
nuts.
That makes 3 for the Perfect Storm in Louisville Metro. Home
Owners +
Business Owners (as well as up to 1/2 or more of their clientele) +
Pet
Owners.
I'm trying to remember the movie - it was the perfect
storm because of the
convergence of THREE HUGE weather systems. I
believe one was a strong front
(home owners?), another was a powerful
'nor'easter' (businesses?), and the
third was a hurricane (pet
owners?). I think this a RARE OPPORTUNITY for
for us to attempt to
overturn this VERY BAD LAW.
Yet a another constituency should be business
owners AND TAXPAYERS
who will also suffer from this TRIPLE WHAMMY.
Abramson may not be
totally at fault for everything, maybe he has been
misguided BUT HE is the
responsible party, as he IS the leader. No matter
what, I think he's
shown incredibly POOR judgment in allowing all this to
happen. He DOES
NOT deserve to keep his job!
Even though there is considerable overlap of
these groups, I will bet 90% of
the population there would like to kick the
bast...s OUT for AT LEAST ONE
of these three reasons. Metro government is either incredibly
STOOPID, or
INCREDIBLY ARROGANT - I am not sure which at this point, but NO
matter.
Please COME to the Kentuckiana Cluster, 2010, with OR without
dogs.
Individuals will have to decide on what level of risk each is willing
to
bear for their 4 legged kids. As for me, 'in for a penny, in for a
pound'.
There IS NO LIFE without risk - not for me OR my dogs. I will bring
some dogs, and I will be VERY careful.
PLEASE COME and STRIKE A BLOW
for your future right to enjoy
your dogs in FREEDOM and PEACE. Help us GET these people KICKED OUT
in 2010, picket, wear black arm bands, and anything else
we can think of. Folks are coming up with ALL kinds of great
ideas.
These are ALL private property rights issues. Apparently,
the Metro
government views Louisville Metro as their fiefdom, and all the
residents as
their serfs?
